Formed in London, Mikabomb is a Japanese-fronted garage punk band known for their explosive energy, fuzzy pop sensibility, and irreverent charm. Mixing raw attitude with a playful edge, the band quickly gained a cult following in the UK, Europe, and Japan.
Their debut album The Fake Fake Sound of Mikabomb was released in 2001, followed by Hellcats in 2005. Both albums captured their unique blend of distortion-soaked riffs and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, earning praise for their infectious style and live-wire presence.
After an extended hiatus, Mikabomb returned to the stage in 2025 with their original fire intact. Since then, they’ve resumed touring and reconnecting with fans old and new—across continents and generations.
Mikabomb’s members are now based across the UK, the Neatherland, Germany, and Japan, but the spirit of their early London days remains at the core. Whether playing packed clubs or punk festivals, their shows are a celebration of chaos, colour, and community.
